I think that rats means by people who don't dare to fight for the country, who find a hole to hide in and kept his life alive.While porcupine are those who stood up to fight for our country and fight againest the terrorist or enemy.

I'm not as noble to give up my life for singapore but for my family,love and friends. I have a family and they keep me grounded and focused on doing the right thing. Also have me looking to bigger and better things .
Why would i give up my life for friends?

Think also about the role I play as friend in the lives of others. The old wisdom is that “it is in giving that we receive”. Nowhere is that as true as in the special and challenging world of friendship, where we accept, share, and exchange the life support activities of comfort, encouragement, and challenge.

Love is patient, love is kind. It has no envy, nor it boasts itself and it is never proud. It rejoices over the evil and is the truth seeker. Love protects; preserves and hopes for the positive aspect of life. Always stand steadfast in love, not fall into it. It is like the dream of matter of affection coming true.Be together, share joy and sorrow, understand each other, provide space to each other, but always be there for each others need. And surely love will blossom to strengthen relationship with matter of affection. Loves aids a great help in life, without love, life seems meaningless, if i unwilling to sacrifice my life for love,families or friends, i believe i had really no point living in this world.Giving my life for something shows that how much i look up to it.
